I have been Head of RE, Pastoral Lead and Head of PSHE & Citizenship in my 19 year teaching career. I am currently Head of PSHE & Citizenship at a large secondary school 11-18. My shop includes: PSHE and Citizenship sessions, Assemblies, Tutor Time activities SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Religious Education. They are fully resourced RE or Citizenship lessons, worksheets or 15 minute assemblies/tutor time PSHE sessions suitable for 11-18 and some can also be used for younger audiences.

his is a 10-15 minute assembly about vaccinations. It is not specifically about Covid 19 vaccinations but more about vaccinations in childhood and in general. However, it could easily be used to cover Covid-19 vaccinations as well. It is suitable for KS3-KS4 (Ages 11-18, Grades 6-13, Years 7-13) and was originally a year 9 tutor time PSHE session. It focuses on the key question, Why is getting vaccinated so important for public health? It covers: What vaccines are and why they are important 3 short downloaded videos that will never disappear about: WHO immunisation for all programme A world without vaccines How vaccines work It ends with a plenary discussion task There are no written activities just information and discussion. This fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum, PSHE or Whole School assembly approach to Healthy Living.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about avoiding debt and saving money. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and can be used as part of the Finance Education curriculum, PSHE & Citizenship and as a tutor time whole school assembly. It covers: Why it is best to avoid debt How can they avoid debt A video about creating a budget A video about saving money A discussion task as a quick plenary. Both videos are downloaded so will never disappear and there are no written activities. This can easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson or be used as whole school resource to teach students about avoiding debt. Students responded very well to this session.

It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but can be used for any year group at KS2 - KS4 (Years 5-11 Ages 9-16) and is suitable to be used as an assembly or whole school session.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly to celebrate and explain My Money Week in June 2022. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Year 7-13) as a whole school assembly or tutor time resource. It is also suitable for PSHE & Citizenship sessions. This is a 15 minute PSHE session or assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5. It was originally used as a tutor time KS3 PSHE session. It teaches students the correct behaviour in lessons and how to manage their own behaviour. It has discussion questions linking to the low level disruption comments from Ofsted and gets students to consider zero-tolerance school policies and the effects of poor behaviour on learning. It also covers why students should not disrupt lessons and discusses a variety of questions about behaviour in lessons. This can be shortened or lengthened if you need it for a whole lesson or as just part of an assembly. I has a downloaded video clip that will never disappear! Students responded really well to this session.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about emergency first aid. It covers how to perform CPR and stop heavy bleeding. This is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) and can be used as a tutor time session, PSHE or Citizenship lesson or Health whole school assembly. It fits into the new RSE and Health Curriculum of 2020 but can be used for other purposes to teach people these important life saving skills. It includes: What CPR is How to perform CPR How to stop bleeding when someone is bleeding heavily What a defribrillator is Infographics to remind students of first aid Dual coding and discussion task This does not include any written activities but ends in a discussion task about whether you should give anyone who needs it CPR. There may be BBC links in that only work in the UK. This was originally used for a Year 11 PSHE tutor time session about emergency first aid after an introduction to CPR earlier in the year and in school. This was a PSHE session for tutor time for KS3-5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which is 10- 15 minutes long and contains videos, discussions and important messages for students about different religious and cultural practices and diversity. This could be used as part of the diversity element of the PSHE and Citizenship programme or could be used as an assembly. The students responded well to this session. There are no written activities and it includes a quiz to check learning and two downloaded videos that will never disappear. One video is about religious festivals and the other about non-religious festivals. This session could easily be lengthened to create a whole lesson for RE on the importance of festivals.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) about social media. It goes through the legal restrictions of different platforms, the advantages and disadvantages of social media and the addiction it can cause. There are discussion activities and videos but no written activities. The three short video clips are downloaded so will never disappear. The presentation will last approximately 15 minutes but can be lengthened or shortened easily to fit a whole lesson. This fits into the new Relationships & Health Education Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Mental Health focus, SMSC & FBV agendas. Students reacted very well to this session.

These two PowerPoints are 60-90 minute lessons focusing on social action by lookind specifically at the Birmingham Six and Hillsborough. They have been received very well with KS4 students. For more detailed information about each PowerPoint please read the description of the resource.
